What is Post natal Yoga?

The post natal period is a time of great change and adjustment.  The new mum is subject to stress and strain on many levels, and Post Natal Yoga is here to gradually retrain physically but also support and nurture emotionally.

The class is designed to promote ease and comfort:  stabilising the pelvis, toning the abdominal region, and supporting the lower back. We aim also at lifting the posture and opening the chest in order to counter the habit of hunching the shoulders when cradling or feeding a small baby. 
We alternate energising practices with periods of recuperative rest, the class aims to be an oasis and a recharge at the same time.
 
Classes are 1hour long to fit with the busy schedules of new mums. All equipment is provided.
 
Babies are welcome into the class laid on the side in their cot or on a bean bag whilst mums are being looked after! Initiation to Baby yoga can be arranged with Maryline on request.
